Our brand new website created by The Dog Did It was launched and I am so happy with it. Please browse the site and also go to the Gallery to see if I have any pictures of your Weimshadow bred dog posted there and if not please sent me your pics with your dog’s AKC name and who the dam and sire are.
Our dear homebred, owner handled boy Sport crossed the rainbow bridge at 11 years and 10 1/2 months old. His name was CH. Weimshadow Double Barrel Sport, JH,CD,NRD,V. We was such a blessing to our lives and helped me teach many dog obedience classes in my community by being my demo dog, he could find a crippled pheasant during hunting season like nobody else, and together we explored the sport of Agility which he loved and just wished that I would run faster so that he did not have to look back over his shoulder to see where I was! Together we competed in a handful of Open B Obedience trials and we had one pass to our credit BUT it was almost impossible for him to sit in a lineup of dogs while I went out of sight with the other handlers!! He lives on in his sons and daughters and his grandkids. RIP my dear Sport; I will be with you again. He was cremated and someday his ashes will fly away into the wind with mine.
The Weimshadow Gang spent a lot of time at local lakes swimming for bumpers on the 90+ degree days and our puppy, Xxon, learned to swim and retrieve out of deep water at 6 months of age and even did a few easy bumper searches into the reeds.
Jeff built me some training equipment for our 3/4 acre bird field that included a pigeon pole, a whoa barrel, and a whoa bench. My husband is awesome at building things for me, being my gunner and my bird planter, keeping batteries in all my stuff for the time spent field training, and feeding and taking care of our pigeons and quail that we maintain her on our four acre country home.
We were entered in a dog show in Colorado this month but then I fell and cracked 2 ribs on my left side and there was a Big Hail storm that put holes in our siding, took off shingles on every roof on our property, and damaged both of our vehicles. So we did not get to enjoy our weekend trip to Colorado.
Good news incudes that we found a almost new van we both fell in love with on the Group called “Dog Show Vehicles For Sale” and Jeff is flying to North Carolina to drive it home soon. I will be camping in it, training out of it and just trilled to have it.
