October and November were really busy months for the Weimshadow Gang:
*Weimshadow Miss Muddy Camo earned 2 points towards her CH by going WB & BOW at the Nebraska Cornhusker Kennel Club Dog Shows.
*Sally Jo and CH. Weimshadow Nebraska Merritt joined North Platte’s Rock’N Paws Pet Therapy Club and we started the process of earning the red vest to wear at nursing home visits, kids organizations, and Veterans Support Groups through Therapy Dogs Incorporated (TDInc). It is intensive work finally be accepted but we look forward to the journey together.
*Ch. Weimshadow Nebraska Merritt earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate.
* In November our 2 litters of a combined number of 14 puppies all went to excellent homes where they will bring a lifetime of joy, companionship, and upland game hunting happiness to their owners. Jeff and Sally Jo kept one male pup from the Caliber x Season litter to love, train, handle in hunt tests, rally obedience, NAVHDA, and the conformation ring. His call name is Qwik and his registered name is Weimshadow Double Barrell Qwik.
*Jeff and Sally Jo went to Ardmore, OK to show their two Weims, Weimshadow Miss Muddy Camo & Trax Primetime Xxon in the WCA 2018 National Specialty and had a great time meeting old friends and meeting new Weimaraner Club of America members & their Weimaraners.
*We managed to squeeze in some local pheasant hunting here in Nebraska with limited success. The upland bird numbers are down this year because of a really bad hail storm on August 15th that killed many birds and ruined local farming crops for the entire year, damaged windows, the siding of our home plus totaled out two of our vehicles.
* We sold Bliss to Kim Burnell of Barrett Weimaraners for Kim’s field trial breeding program.
