Puppy Questionaire

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a Weimshadow puppy. We’ve done our very best to breed puppies with excellent health, stable temperaments and all the qualities that make a versatile Weimaraner. We’ve socialized the puppies so that they will confidently adjust to whatever changes life presents and we’ve provided the veterinary care they have needed.

We stand by each of our dogs for its entire lifetime. If for any reason an owner can no longer keep the puppy/dog they purchased, that dog will always be welcome to come back to us. We do not allow them to be sent to other homes unless we have pre-approved such a move. We will either keep or re-home any pup we produce.

This questionaire helps me decide which pups should go to which homes. Please complete it as thoroughly as possible, then click “Submit.” Answers are required for all fields.

We picked up our baby, Stella DaZee, on December 5th from Weimshadow Kennels. Prior to taking her home SallyJo was very informative answering all of my questions. This was our first puppy after having rescued 3 other adult weimaraners. Since coming home we have found Stella to be amazingly smart, affectionate, well behaved and all around incredible. SallyJo had already crate trained her so sleeping all night was never an issue. Within weeks she was ringing a bell to go outside. Her hunting and retrieving instincts are amazing. She learned to retrieve a ball mostly from watching her sister do it and now it is one of her favorite games. Having been involved in rescuing weimaraners we were aware that separation anxiety is a major issue. Last week we left her at home with a dogsitter for the first time with no problems whatsoever. All in all, we could not have anticipated a better "first puppy" experience. Much of this we attribute to the high quality of breeding at Weimshadow Kennels. Thanks for all of the advice and a superior Weimaraner SallyJo. In our opinion there is no better place to obtain a Weimaraner for either hunting or companionship.

Brought my wonderful boy Camo home to Wyoming just a few days ago.. He's the best behaved puppy I've ever met. The amount of time and love Sally Jo puts into her puppies at Weimshadow Kennels is unmatched. At 9 weeks old my boy knows his name, knows how to sit and was almost 100% potty trained upon pick up! Huge thanks to Sally Jo at Weimshadow for providing me with a puppy that brings such joy and happiness! Truly a one of a kind place out there in Nebraska.

Would recommend Sally Jo to anyone wanting a Weimaraner! Absolutely the best place hands down for a breeder! The love Sally Jo and Jeff put into raising these puppies truly shows! Husker is our first Weimaraner but couldn't be happier with our decision! He's so smart and great with our kids!

We drove 8 hours to get our puppy and 8 hours to get him home, but it was totally worth it. Sally Jo is a capable and doting breeder. Much of her life has been devoted to the care of Weims--she hunts and shows her dogs, and goodness, she must have twelve of them. I love that she breeds her own dogs and keeps a puppy out of each litter--obviously she takes pride in her breeding stock. Our puppy, Hugo, is robustly healthy, quick as a whip, and an objectively beautiful dog. We were surprised and pleased that he came to us already mostly potty-trained, enjoying car rides, and sitting on command. Sally Jo has made herself available for any questions we've had and, of course, she always has puppy pictures to coo over online! Basically, you couldn't ask for a better breeder. Five stars for sure!

December 31st, my family invested in a new Weimaraner puppy from Sally Jo and Weimshadow Weimaraner's- let me tell you what a great choice it was! Our puppy Titan has been amazing and we have noted differences in his demeanor as we have compared him to our two previous Weimaraner's. He is very calm and easy to train. I am saying that from an owner who had has had two other Weimaraner's- one from an Iowa breeder and one from a North Carolina breeder. We thought both of these Weimaraner's were remarkable (and they are) but I believe the time Sally Jo invested into our current puppy has made his adjustment to our family and his development and training notably easier! Thank you Sally Jo and Jeff for all the love and touches you gave your puppies in those early developmental weeks, we feel the benefits!

My family adopted a Weimaraner puppy on December 31st, 2015. I drove 6 hours each way for the best dog I've ever had. He is sooooo amazing! Sally Jo (Weimshadow Kennels) does a STELLAR job breeding! My last Weimar was awesome, but this dog has really opened my eyes to what a well bred Weimar is. He is soooo smart! He learned his name in a day and caught his first bird at about 5 months old. He is very alert, he learns commands quickly and easily, he is great with kids and other household pets, his body/ build is flawless. He is so sweet and so funny. He's my best bud! Thank you so much for such an amazing dog, I truly am impressed!! I never imagined a dog could be this perfect! Great job!!! This is a quality breeder with a clean, loving home that truly cares about the breed as well as the dogs she breeds. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Weimshadow Kennels!!

We drove 6 hours trip to get our puppy"Hawk". I just knew life as we knew it (quiet, our routines, my sleep!) Was never going to be the same. I was so nervous to bring a puppy into the home and that dreaded "potty training"... And crying all night. I had dreams of chewed up pieces of the house, ruined shoes and anything else he could find. Turns out he's the smartest puppy we've ever had. Only took two nights of getting up with him consistently and no accidents in the house. Already crate trained and already comes and sits to command at 9 weeks old. He is a very smart boy. Easily trained and so sociable! He had eaten my slipper but I left it down.. the vet said on his first puppy visit that we have ourselves a winner. Gained 4 pounds in 8 days. Can't say enough about his breeding. I hope everyone else is as happy as we are....

We did a lot of research to make sure we had a reputable breeder and after reading about Weimshadow we knew we had to have one of her Weims. We drove 8 hours round trip to pick up our little girl Leia but it was worth every minute. She is the most beautiful and amazing puppy!! Sally Jo was so helpful and answered all of my many questions. Leia came home crate trained as well as knowing how to sit already. Leia is so pretty and has the best personality. We have never met a breeder that is so knowledgeable and helpful. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

We are so impressed with our Weimshadow Weimaraner puppy! Not only is she graceful and athletic, but boy is she bright and motivated. Simply a pleasure to work with and train. While we got her mainly as a family pet, we are amazed by her innate abilities as a hunting dog. Not only does she detect and point at all sorts of wildlife in the yard, but she intently studies them, their movement, sound, smell. Sally Jo gives her puppies such a great start in life, exposing them to all sorts of things and situations, resulting in confident pups who are set up for a successful transition to their forever homes. I can’t recommend Weimshadow Weimaranrers enough. Thank you Sally Jo for your dedication to and passion for this exciting breed of dog.
